Ever since I was a little girl, cooking has always held a special place in my heart. I love the planning, experimenting, presenting and most importantly the joy it brings. I have always seen and thought that food can bring people together like nothing else can. With food constantly on the brain, I achieved my Leith's Food & Wine diploma in 2013. After working for various food companies doing everything from marketing, sales, recipe development and social media, I then went on to train further with the London Cookery School doing their six week intense chef training in 2019.
For the past few years I have been working solely as a private chef with events ranging from intimate suppers for 8, countryside weddings for 80, children parties, shoot weekends and trips abroad. My menus are tailored to each client individually so each event can be as personalised as possible. Whether that be gluten and dairy free brunches, Ottolenghi sharing plates to traditional English plated menus.
Having spent some time out of school working at a London primary school, I'm both confident and very happy to get involved with children of all ages. Whether that be cooking classes, kid friendly menus or helping out poolside on holiday.
Over the years I have tested many of my own recipes that I share almost daily on my Instagram (@cleangeeg). I have a real love for entertaining and giving tips to the nervous host on how to make things easier. Whether this be menu planning, tablescaping, recipe ideas or making ahead tips, all of which can also be found there.
